Preliminary Task
The song by ROSÉ is based on the theme of elaborating a story, and we intend to use a very good setting and mise en scene for the mv of the song.
The song was released on April 4, 2021 and its mv is concept music video.

Rosé is evidently upset at her ex lover – she wanted to be the one who does right by them and loves them unconditionally for who they are, no matter their flaws, and in her head, there was still a possibility of her being that person. However, her ex lover has made up their mind on the matter – they are through with her and are no longer willing to work on the relationship.
The singer struggles with the aftermath of having to come to terms with this and accept the fact that they have moved on without her.
“Hit and run” is a phrase used to convey the quick fleeing of action or attack. Here, the “hit” and the “run” refers to the heartbreak from her former lover and the act of them leaving her, respectively. The phrase is used synonymously with the term for fleeing the scene of an accident in which the perpetrator “hits” a vehicle and flees, or “runs” away from the crime.
To be “coloured blue” is derived from the phrase of “feeling blue,” which is commonly used to symbolize feelings of depression or disappointment. The colour blue is often associated with such feelings, especially at the end of a relationship once all is said and done.
In the first 10 seconds of the teaser video, ROSÉ can be seen cast in shades of blue, further rendering her emotions throughout the song.
Rainbows generally appear due to the scattering of light by rain droplets in the atmosphere, so “too much darkness” would literally inhibit rainbow formation.
Of course, this is a metaphor, since “darkness” can be emotional duress and rainbows are a symbol of hope (connected to the Biblical story of the flood). Feeling “used” and betrayed by a former lover, the speaker finds it difficult to be hopeful about the future.
