Genre Research
Genre is a word that can be used to distinguish different movies into different types. Genre started out as a French word, "types or class", and the subject matter and style of a movie are distinguished by its content. For example, some horror movies often have scary music in the background, which makes it easier for the audience to put themselves in the movie. 。

These are all related to Steve Neale's theory, which includes Repetition and difference. He feels that movies and genre are defined in two ways. First, a movie has to have a genre in order to be sure that it's part of genre. Secondly, the film needs some changes and subversion to innovate and become new, so as to make continuous progress and change, rather than blindly copying the original genre. For example, in a horror movie, not only the scary music, if all horror movies were the same, it would be meaningless.
