For our filming, I attended the second and third time of the recording which is the March 26 and March 31. The place we are taken was very close to school also it is convenient for us to go there after school. While, there is the village near the school, is our classmate's home. On March 26, as we changed our story line, we did some very basic shots of the main character. Meanwhile, we did nowadays of the character. When it was getting dark, we recorded some scenery shot inside the alley to introduce the place of character living in the childhood.
On March 31, we recorded some shots that needed to be reshot and main Character's childhood memories with his father. The difference between adulthood and childhood can be seen in the change of clothes.
Planning is very important for shooting, and it is only through orderly planning that the process can go smoothly. I also have a deep understanding of the need to plan ahead. When we are not sure about the whole shoot and there are no rules, the shoot goes very slowly. In the first shoot, because of the lack of shooting and teamwork Familiarity made the whole process not so smooth, we also found problems in the process, and planned ahead on the next shoot to correct these problems. We made this film over several weeks, through constant collaboration and revision. This is also the time I expected, although we still need some revisions.
I participated in the painting of the story board. For the planning of each shot, when we were shooting, I helped them to take some shots. I was in charge of the lighting during the shooting. When we were editing, I selected some backgrouds.
I like the lighting of this shot. This low key lighting shows the mysterious feeling of the character and highlights the character's attitude towards his father when he was a child. We filmed part of it according to the script, and some of the silhouettes of the cups in the middle were added later. I think if we give us another chance, we can do more fine-tuning, have more good-looking shots, and be better for time management, but I am also very satisfied with this shooting.
We also insert some main character narration in the middle, because if we don't add it, it will be difficult for the audience to understand the story we want to express.
